Tuna belly (ventresca) in olive oil (115 g)

Ventresca de Bonito del Norte from Agromar: white albacore tuna belly (Thunnus alalunga) in olive oil, in a 115 g tin (81 g drained). The belly is the most tender, fat-marbled cut of the albacore and only a small part of each fish, which is why Agromar makes it as a limited production.

It comes from the Cantabrian albacore season (costera del Cantábrico) and is prepared from fresh fish. Agromar has been making conservas in Gijón, Asturias, since 1926.

Serve it at room temperature with a green salad, roasted peppers or tomato, or simply on bread with a drizzle of its oil.
