Marine plankton from La Mar de Tazones: dried microalgae Tetraselmis chuii, a fine green powder in a 25 g jar. The microalga is freeze-dried and adds a taste of the sea and a deep green colour to sauces and fish dishes. It is a single-ingredient product with nothing added.
La Mar de Tazones is the gourmet line of Cetárea Tazones, a shellfish company based at the port of El Musel in Gijón, Asturias.
Use it very sparingly: a pinch stirred into a sauce, mayonnaise or a fish dish is enough. The producer's maximum recommended amount is 250 mg per day.
Ingredients: dried microalgae Tetraselmis chuii.
Allergens: may contain sulphites produced naturally by the microalga. May contain traces of fish, molluscs and crustaceans.
