Tomate frito sin azúcares añadidos from Estilo Kikí: a hand-made fried tomato sauce with no added sugars, made with natural tomatoes (90%) and olive oil and sweetened with sweeteners, in a 350 g jar. It keeps the flavour of the Reserva recipe; the tomatoes contain naturally occurring sugars.
Estilo Kikí makes its sauces by hand in Fontanars dels Alforins, Valencia, following the 1962 recipe of Isabel Rubio, known at home as Kikí. The sauce is slow-cooked for about four hours, and it takes around 1 kg of pear tomatoes to fill one 350 g jar.
Use it with pasta, rice, eggs or meatballs, or as a base for your own sauces.
Ingredients: natural tomato (90%), olive oil (8%), sweeteners (E-954 saccharin, E-952 cyclamate), preservative (E-202), garlic, salt.
