Elvers (angulas) in olive oil with chilli (115 g)

Angulas from Agromar: elvers in olive oil with a touch of chilli, in a 115 g tin (55 g drained). Elvers are young eels (Anguilla spp.). The eels spawn in the Sargasso Sea, and the currents carry their young to the mouths of European rivers, where they arrive as tiny elvers. Agromar makes them as a limited production.

Agromar has been making conservas in Gijón, Asturias, since 1926.

Warm them briefly in a small pan with olive oil and garlic, or serve them on bread as a tapa.

Ingredients: elvers (Anguilla spp., fish), olive oil, salt, chilli (0.1%).
